The NHL celebrates the top performances from the 2016-17 season and looks ahead to the 2017-18 campaign and beyond this week, beginning tomorrow night at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN, with live coverage of the 2017 NHL Awards and NHL Expansion Draft from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. The NHL Expansion Draft will reveal the first members of the NHL's 31st team, the Vegas Golden Knights, who begin play in the upcoming 2017-18 season.
In addition, NBCSN will televise live coverage of the first round of the 2017 NHL DRAFT this Friday, beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET.

2017 NHL AWARDS AND NHL EXPANSION DRAFT - WEDNESDAY AT 8 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
Wednesday night's coverage on NBCSN will feature a combination of the annual NHL Awards ceremony and the NHL Expansion Draft. The 2017 NHL Expansion Draft will fill the roster of the Vegas Golden Knights, the league's first expansion team since 2000, when the Columbus Blue Jackets and Minnesota Wild joined. Vegas will select one player from each of the 30 current NHL teams. Each team has a protected list which from Vegas cannot select a player.
The 2017 NHL Awards will celebrate the best regular-season players in a wide range of categories, including most valuable player (Hart Trophy), outstanding goaltender (Vezina Trophy), outstanding defenseman (Norris Trophy) and outstanding rookie (Calder Trophy). The Ted Lindsay Award, which is presented annually to the "most outstanding player" in the NHL as voted by fellow members of the National Hockey League Players' Association (NHLPA) also will be awarded.
NHL on NBC hosts Kathryn Tappen and Paul Burmeister, and Emmy Award-winning 'Inside-the-Glass' analyst Pierre McGuire will provide commentary from T-Mobile Arena, alongside Sportsnet's Daren Millard, and actor Joe Manganiello, who will host the event.
2017 NHL DRAFT - FRIDAY AT 6:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
The 2017 NHL DRAFT is headlined by a pair of young centers - Nolan Patrick and Nico Hischier. Patrick totaled 46 points in 33 games with the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League in an injury-shortened season, after registering 102 points a season earlier. Hischier totaled 86 points in 57 games with the Halifax Mooseheads of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, and could make history as the highest-drafted Swiss player in NHL history. Casey Mittlestatdt, who was named the winner of Minnesota's Mr. Hockey Award in 2016-17 as the top senior high school hockey player in the state, is the highest-rated American skater in THE DRAFT according to the league's 2017 Draft Prospect Rankings, ranking third behind Patrick and Hischier. The New Jersey Devils currently hold the No. 1 overall pick in the Draft, and coverage will include live look-ins from the Devils' draft party.
Liam McHugh will host coverage alongside Emmy Award-winning analyst Pierre McGuire and NHL Insiders Bob McKenzie and Craig Button. In addition, Kathryn Tappen will anchor coverage from the floor of the United Center in Chicago, conducting interviews with players, coaches and general managers. Darren Dreger will handle reporting duties, providing information on potential trades and developing storylines.
