NBCSN Slots Mecum Auctions Coverage for This Weekend

NBC Sports Group presents more than 40 hours of motorsports coverage this weekend, including more than 15 hours of Mecum Auctions coverage from its Monterey event on NBCSN, the Lucas Oil Pro MOTOCROSS Utah National on NBCSN, and NBC's coverage of RED BULL GLOBAL RALLYCROSS from Washington D.C.

This week's motorsports slate also features a pair of original programs. NBCSN presents the series premiere of Mobsteel - the new automotive reality series that follows a Detroit-based custom-car shop which transforms vintage American cars into modern-day street machines - this Sunday at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN, immediately following Sprint Cup Series Racing from Michigan. NBCSN will also air a new episode of Mecum Dealmakers, showcasing the top stories and classic cars from its Indianapolis auction, tomorrow, Aug. 13 at 10 p.m. ET.

NBCSN'S MECUM AUCTIONS COVERAGE FROM MONTEREY BEGINS TOMORROW, AUG. 13 AT 8 P.M. ET, FOLLOWED BY MECUM DEALMAKERS: INDIANAPOLIS AT 10 P.M. ET

NBCSN's Mecum Auctions presentation from Monterey will be highlighted by more than 25 Ferraris that will cross the auction block this weekend. Featured Ferraris include a 1968 Ferrari 330 GTS, formerly owned by casino magnate and Western U.S. Ferrari distributor Bill Harrah, with many expected to earn upwards of $2 million dollars at auction.

Coverage begins tomorrow at 8 p.m. ET, followed by a five-hour Mecum Auctions: Monterey block on Friday, starting at 7 p.m. ET. NBCSN presents a pair of Mecum Auctions telecasts on Saturday, airing at 12:30 p.m. ET and 6:30 p.m. ET, and concludes its coverage with a four-hour presentation on Sunday at 7 p.m. ET.

Scott Hoke will host NBCSN's Mecum Auctions coverage on-site in Kissimmee, alongside analysts John Kraman, Stephen Cox, and Bill Stephens.

NBCSN's presentation of Mecum Dealmakers: Indianapolis will air tomorrow at 10 p.m. ET, immediately following coverage from Monterey. Dealmakers highlights the most interesting stories from this year's auction at Indianapolis, known as one of the year's top auctions for muscle cars.


NBCSN AND NBC SPORTS LIVE EXTRA COMBINE TO PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE COVERAGE OF LUCAS OIL PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP UTAH NATIONAL ON SATURDAY

The penultimate weekend of the 2015 LUCAS OIL PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP takes place this Saturday with the Utah National in Tooele, Utah. Ryan Dungey enters the weekend with his third 450 Class championship in sight, holding a commanding 79-point lead, while Jeremy Martin and Marvin Musquin are separated by just two points in the 250 Class standings with two races left.

Saturday's coverage begins on Live Extra with practice at 12:30 p.m. ET, followed by the pre-show at 2 p.m. ET. MavTV presents Moto 1 coverage at 3 p.m. ET, and NBCSN's Moto 2 coverage will air at 11 p.m. ET.

Veteran play-by-play voice Jason Weigandt, analyst and two-time AMA Pro MOTOCROSS Champion Grant Langston, and pit reporter Georgia LINDSAY will call the action.

NBCSN'S NEW AUTOMOTIVE REALITY SERIES - MOBSTEEL - PREMIERES SUNDAY AT 6 P.M. ET, IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING SPRINT CUP RACING FROM MICHIGAN

NBCSN's new automotive reality series - Mobsteel - premieres this Sunday at 6 p.m. ET. The show follows a Detroit-based custom car shop that transforms vintage American cars into modern-day street machines, led by founder Adam Genei, his wife Pam Genei, and their team of custom-car specialists.

Sunday's series premiere focuses on the restoration of a 1953 Packard, a car that was "reserved for the elite of the elite." It includes a trip to the old Packard Automotive Plant to search for vintage parts, as well as a meeting with Allan Hill, the custodian of the plant for more than nine years.

New episodes will air Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on NBCSN following Sunday's series premiere, with encore presentations of the prior week's episode airing Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET. Next Wednesday's episode focuses on a 1963 Lincoln Continental that the team works to restore for a second-generation Detroit-area pipefitter who is looking for the Mobsteel car of his dreams. NBC PRESENTS RED BULL GLOBAL RALLYCROSS FROM WASHINGTON D.C. SATURDAY AT 3 P.M. ET

NBC continues its 2015 RED BULL GLOBAL RALLYCROSS coverage with action this weekend in Washington D.C. on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET. Ken Block (Hoonigan Racing Division) continues to lead the driver championship standings (260 points), following a win at the first race in the Detroit doubleheader on July 25.

Toby Moody (play-by-play) will call the action, alongside NBC Sports Group motorsports analystTownsend Bell, and reporters Kristen Kenney and Will Christien.


NBCSN PRESENTS A DOUBLE FEATURE OF NASCAR WITH SPRINT CUP RACING FROM MICHIGAN AND XFINITY SERIES RACING FROM MID-OHIO THIS WEEKEND

Earlier today, NBCSN announced this weekend's NASCAR coverage, beginning Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET with the XFINITY Series Nationwide Children's Hospital 200 at Mid-Ohio, followed by Sprint Cup Racing from Michigan on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. ET. Click here for more info.
