NBCSN & Hockey East Renew Contract Through 2015

NBCSN and Hockey East announced a two-year extension to their national television rights agreement today. Beginning with the upcoming 2013-14 college hockey season and continuing through the 2014-15 season, NBCSN will annually televise a minimum of five Hockey East games, and up to 12 regular-season games over the next two years. The network's coverage of Hockey East begins on Friday, October 25 at 8 p.m. ET when Massachusetts travels to Alfond Arena in Orono, Maine to take on Maine.

As part of the agreement, Boston University will appear three times on NBCSN and Massachusetts will appear twice. No. 4 Boston College, New Hampshire and Maine will also play games on the network this season.

NBCSN's 2013-14 Hockey East schedule includes Northeastern - No. 4 Boston College on Friday, November 1 at 8 p.m. ET, North Dakota - Boston University on Friday, November 22 at 7:30 p.m. ET, Boston University - Massachusetts on Friday, January 31 at 7:30 p.m. ET., and Boston University - New Hampshire on Friday, February 14 at 7 p.m. ET.

"With this renewal, Hockey East will continue to provide quality content for NBCSN across the next two college hockey seasons."

"Hockey East embraces and values this partnership at a time when college hockey is experiencing seismic changes across the country."

Dave Strader and Dave Goucher, will split play-by-play duties for NBCSN's coverage of Hockey East. Ken Hodge will serve as an analyst for all Hockey East games on NBCSN.
