GAME 7 - (WC1) PREDATORS AT (3) SHARKS - TONIGHT AT 9 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
NASHVILLE forced tonight's Game 7 with its second consecutive overtime win at home, as Viktor Arvidssonnetted his first career Stanley Cup Playoff goal 2:03 into the extra session to keep the Predators alive with a 4-3 victory in Game 6 on Monday night. The Predators won despite two goals from Sharks forward Chris Tierney and Logan Couture's sixth goal of the postseason. NASHVILLE will now play in its second Game 7 of the postseason and in the franchise's history, following its 2-1 win in Game 7 against Anaheim in the First Round.
The home team has won each game in this series, and NASHVILLE has never won a playoff game in San Jose; the Predators are 0-7 all-time at the SAP Center in the postseason. However, Predators head coachPeter Laviolette is 5-1 all-time in Game 7s, including five straight wins.
CONFERENCE FINALS SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED - LIGHTNING-PENGUINS GAME 1 ON FRIDAY AT 8 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
The Pittsburgh Penguins will host the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final on Friday at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Pre-game coverage will begin at 7 p.m. ET with NHL Live. NBCSN will present Game 1 of the Western Conference Final from St. Louis on Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET, when the Blues host the winner of tonight's Predators-Sharks Game 7.
Three-time Emmy Award-winning play-by-play commentator Mike 'Doc' Emrick, U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame member and analyst Eddie Olczyk, and Emmy Award-winning 'Inside-the-Glass' analyst Pierre McGuire will serve as the broadcast team for the Lightning-Penguins Eastern Conference Final. Kenny Albert (play-by-play), Joe Micheletti (analyst), and Brian Boucher ('Inside-the-Glass') will call the Western Conference Final.
