NBC to Air Coverage of Figure Skating Grand Prix Japan, 11/10

NBC continues its coverage of the 2013 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series with Grand Prix Japan on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET. Coverage will feature the men's and ladies' free skate from Tokyo, Japan.

Highlighting the field for the U.S. are 2013 U.S. champion Max Aaron, three-time U.S. champion and 2010 Olympian Jeremy Abbott, 2013 Hilton HHonors Skate America silver medalist Adam Rippon, 2013 U.S. silver medalist Gracie Gold, and 2010 Olympian and two-time U.S. champion Mirai Nagasu.

The ladies' international field includes 2010 Olympic silver medalist and two-time world champion Mao Asada of Japan; and the men's includes Olympic bronze medalist and world champion Daisuke Takahashi of Japan and 2013 European champion Javier Fernandez from Spain.

COMMENTATORS: Terry Gannon will call the action alongside analyst Johnny Weir, a two-time Olympian and three-time U.S. champion.

The Grand Prix Series, now in its 19th season, consists of six international events in a cumulative point-scoring format. Approximately 300 athletes from 30 countries are expected to participate in the series. Each athlete is eligible to score points in up to two of the six scheduled events. The top six point-earners in each discipline qualify for the 2013 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final, set for Dec. 5-8, in Fukuoka, Japan.
