NBC presents the 2014 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final today, Dec. 21, at 4 p.m. ET with coverage of the men's and ladies' free skates.
2014 Olympic team bronze medalist Ashley Wagner competes for the U.S. in the event after finishing second at Skate Canada and third at Grand Prix France during the 2014 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series.
2014 Olympic team gold medalist Yulia Lipnitskaya and 2014 Hilton HHonors Skate America champion Yelena Radionova of Russia; 2014 Olympic gold medalist and reigning World champion Yuzuru Hanyu of Japan; and two-time World bronze medalist Javier Fernandez of Spain highlight the international field.
COMMENTATORS:
NBC Sports Group's lead figure skating commentary team of three-time U.S. figure skating champion Johnny Weir, 1998 Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski and play-by-play announcer Terry Gannon will host coverage. Analyst Tracy Wilson will report on-site from the Barcelona International Convention Centre in Barcelona, Spain.
The Grand Prix Series, now in its 20th season, consists of six international events in a cumulative point-scoring format. The top six point-earners in each discipline qualify for the 2014 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final.
