NBC has won the primetime ratings week of Nov. 7-13 among the Big 4 networks in both total viewers and the key adult 18-49 demographic, with the network's strongest results since Premiere Week seven weeks ago, according to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.
It's
NBC first total-viewer win of the season and first during a full in-season week since March 7-13, the week "Little Big Shots" aired its preview and premiere telecasts.
With the weeklong 18-49 win,
NBC has moved back ahead of
FOX to lead the season in 18-49, despite Fox's boost from seven primetime telecasts of the highest-rated
WORLD SERIES in 12 years.
Leading NBC's dominant 18-49 win for the week was the Seahawks-Patriots "Sunday Night Football" matchup, the #1 telecast of the week on ABC, CBS,
NBC or
FOX in 18-49; as well as Tuesday's
NBC News Election Night coverage, #2; Monday's "The Voice," tied for #9; and Monday's "2016 SNL Election Special," #11. Rankers exclude sports pre- and post-game shows.
"Sunday Night Football" is the #1 primetime telecast of the week on the Big 4 in every key measure - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers - as well as kids 2-11 and teens 12-17.
The last time
NBC rated higher than last week's 2.4 rating in 18-49 or 8.4 million viewers overall was during this season's Premiere Week, Sept. 19-25, when
NBC averaged a 2.5 in 18-49 and 8.7 million viewers overall.
NBC grew +4% versus the same week last year in 18-49 rating (2.4 vs. 2.3), and was also up versus the same week last year in total viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-34 and all key adult-male demos.
Season to date,
NBC ranks #1 among ABC, CBS,
NBC and
FOX in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and all key adult-female demos, while only trailing World Series-boosted
FOX in any other key demographic.
Counting only entertainment programs season to date (excluding live news and sports),
NBC ranks #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and is #1 or tied for #1 in adults 25-54, adults 18-34 and every key adult-female demo.
