NBC Wins the Night in 18-49 with LITTLE BIG SHOTS Season Premiere

NBC has ranked #1 or tied for #1 in 18-49 on 6 of 7 nights this week (every night except Saturday), the first time a network has won 6 nights in a week since NBC during Thanksgiving week.

The second season premiere of "Little Big Shots" (2.0/7 in 18-49, 11.7 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET): Is the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in 18-49 and total viewers. Equals or tops all but two of the show's regular-slot telecasts from last season in 18-49. Matches the show's top rating since March 20, 2016. Grows +18% versus where the show left off with last season's final regular original (1.7 on May 1). Doubles its lead-in in 18-49 (2.0 vs. 1.0) and grows +92% in total viewers (11.658 million vs. 6.070 million). Wins the time period by a +67% margin among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 (2.0 vs. 1.2 for #2 CBS). Last year, "Little Big Shot" debuted in its regular time period on March 13, 2016 with a 2.8 in 18-49 and 14.999 million viewers overall.


The regular-slot debut of "Chicago Justice" (1.4/4 in 18-49, 7.3 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET): Wins the hour by a +27% margin among the Big 4 nets in 18-49 (1.4 vs. 1.1 for #2 Fox). Also ranks #1 in adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and all key adult-female demos Equals NBC's top result in the timeslot excluding live news and sports and the Golden Globes, since Jan. 31, 2016 in 18-49 ("American Ninja Warrior: USA Vs. the World"). Last Wednesday's preview (which was part of a three-hour "Chicago" crossover event) averaged a 1.7 from 10-11 p.m. on March 1) and 8.732 million in total viewers. Will grow substantially with time-shifted and VOD viewership - last Wednesday's "Justice" preview increased by +42% in 18-49 (1.68 to 2.39) and more than +2.9 million viewers overall (8.7 million to 11.7 million) going from L+SD to L+3 Nielsens.


The second season debut of "Shades of Blue" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET): Wins the time period by a +67% margin among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 (1.0 vs. a 0.6 each for ABC and CBS). Wins the slot among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key measure. Equals the show's average for its last four episodes last season (1.0 from March 10 through March 31). Last year, debuted on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016 from 10-11 p.m. with a 1.8 in 18-49 and 8.550 million viewers overall. Will grow dramatically via time-shifting and VOD - last season, "Shades of Blue" increased by +95% in adult 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+7 (1.17 to 2.28) and +4.1 million persons in total viewers (5.8 million vs. 9.9 million).

For the night, this is NBC's top Sunday average in 18-49 (1.3), excluding sports and Golden Globes, since March 20, 2016 and in total viewers with those exclusions (7.559 million) since March 13, 2016.
