NBC wins Wednesday night among the Big 4 networks in every key ratings measure, prevailing by a +33% margin in 18-49 (1.2 vs. 0.9 for #2 Fox) and by +2.9 million persons or +79% in total viewers (6.7 million vs. 3.8 million for #2 CBS).
It's the fourth consecutive Wednesday that NBC has won in both 18-49 and total viewers.
"America's Got Talent" (1.4/7 in 18-49, 9.7 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET):
· Is the #1 show of the night in total viewers by a margin of +4.3 million viewers or +79% (9.7 million vs. 5.4 million for #2 "Big Brother").
· Is currently running within 0.1 of last week's rating in 18-49 (1.4 vs. 1.5) and is retaining 98% in total viewers (9.731 million vs. 9.903 million).
· Jumps +56% above NBC's summer-to-date average in the timeslot prior to "Talent" (1.4 vs. 0.9, L+SD) and +6.1 million persons or +171% in total viewers (9.731 million vs. 3.594 million).
· Will increase substantially via time-shifting and VOD - the prior Wednesday "Talent" grew by +16% in 18-49 (1.54 to 1.78) and +1.3 million viewers overall (9.9 million to 11.2 million) going from L+SD to L+3 Nielsens, for the night's biggest L+3 lift in total viewers.
"World of Dance" (1.0/5 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET):
· Is close to rounding up to a 1.1 in 18-49 (currently reporting a 1.045 in these preliminary fast-affiliate ratings).
· Currently ranks #1 in its two-hour 9-11 p.m. timeslot in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key measures (including some 9-10 p.m. ties with Fox).
· Is currently up for a second straight week in total viewers (5.186 million vs. 5.063 million on Aug. 29 and 5.053 million on Aug. 22), pending updates.
· Is running within 0.1 of last week's rating in 18-49 (1.0 vs. 1.1) and is currently up +2% in total viewers (5.186 million vs. 5.063 million).
· Will grow significantly via time-shifting and VOD - last week's "World of Dance" increased by +31% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+3 (from a 1.13 to 1.48) and +1.2 million viewers overall (5.1 million vs. 6.3 million).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.8/5; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.4/7; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.4/4.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.5/3; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/4 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.1/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
