Is delivering the show's biggest overall audience versus the Baseball All-Star Game in six years (since 14.1 million on July 12, 2011). Retains 100% of the 2.4 for its previous telecast on June 27 in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings and 96% versus the prior 2.5 in official nationals, despite last week's July 4 preemption and last night's Baseball All-Star Game competition.
In total viewers, is up +2% versus the previous "Talent's" 12.114 million persons in these fast affils, while retaining 99% of the prior 12.363 million in official nationals. Grows +29% from its first half-hour to its fourth in adults 18-49 (2.1 to 2.7) and +2.5 million persons or +23% in total viewers (10.8 million to 13.3 million). Retains 100% of its 18-49 rating for the same night last year in 18-49 (2.4 vs. 2.4 from 8-10 p.m. on July 12, 2016) and grows +7% in total viewers (12.298 million vs. 11.539 million) Will add significant viewership via time-shifting: The prior "Talent" telecast grew +30% in 18-49 (2.48 to 3.22) and more than +2.6 million viewers overall (12.4 million to 15.0 million) going from L+SD to L+3 Nielsens. The increases of +0.72 of a rating point and +2.6 million viewers overall were the night's biggest L+3 lifts in 18-49 rating and total viewers. In L+7, "Talent" is increasing by +36% this season in 18-49 rating (from a 2.63 to a 3.58) and more than +3.3 million viewers overall (12.6 million to 15.9 million) going from L+SD to L+7.
"World of Dance" (1.7/7 in 18-49, 7.2 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET): Is close to rounding up to a 1.8 (currently reporting a 1.74 in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings). Currently runs within 0.1 of its previous telecast on June 27 in 18-49 (1.8 vs. 1.8) and retains 96% in total viewers (7.229 million vs. 7.504 million), despite last week's July 4 preemption and last night's All-Star Game competition. Dominates the non-sports competition on
ABC and
CBS in the time period in every key category, beating the combined ABC-CBS competition in all key measures. Is the #2 non-sports show of the night on the Big 4 in adults 18-49 and total viewers, behind only "Talent." Jumps +29% versus NBC's average in the timeslot last summer in 18-49 (1.8 vs. 1.4, L+SD, non-sports) and +1.1 million persons or +17% in total viewers (7.229 million vs. 6.170 million). Will grow substantially via time-shifting and VOD -- so far this season, "World of Dance" has increased by +39% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+7 (from a 1.98 to a 2.76) and more than +2.5 million viewers overall (8.4 million to 11.0 million).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday Night: In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.0/5 with an encore; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.9/8; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.5/4.
In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.6/4 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.
From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.0/4 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4 with an
encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2 with an encore.
At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
