NBC won Monday in 18-49 among the Big 4 networks in every key demo -- adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 -- led by the #1 show of the night, "The Voice," and the top-rated "Blacklist" since Feb.24. NBC's 18-49 margin for the night in 18-49 is 62% (3.4 vs. a 2.1 for #2 ABC).
"The Voice" (3.6 rating, 10 share in adults 18-49, 12.6 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET,) ranked #1 for the night in adults 18-49 and won the time period among ABC, CBS,
NBC and
FOX in every key demo - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54. "The Voice" won the time period in 18-49 among the Big 4 nets by a 50% margin over CBS's second-place comedy block (with a 3.6 rating vs. a 2.4) and also topped ABC's week two of "Dancing With the Stars" by 64% (3.6 vs. 2.2) and Fox's dramas by 157% (3.6 vs. 1.4). From its first half-hour to its fourth, "The Voice" grew by 18% or 0.6 of a point in adults 18-49 (to a 3.9 from a 3.3) and by 1.2 million persons in total viewers (13.2 million vs. 12.0 million).
· "The Blacklist" (2.9/8 in adults 18-49, 11.0 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) dominated its time period by a 71% margin among ABC,
CBS and
NBC in 18-49 (2.9 vs. 1.7 for ABC's #2 "Castle"). In fact, "The Blacklist" is currently matching the combined ratings in the time period of "Castle" and CBS's "Intelligence" (1.2). "The Blacklist" is also #1 in
The Hour among those nets in every other key measure. Versus NBC's averages in the time period last season, "The Blacklist" is up 45% in 18-49 (2.9 vs. 2.0, L+SD, non-sports) and up 92% in total viewers (11.030 million vs. 5.746 million).
· Week to week, "The Blacklist" is up 7% in adults 18-49 (to a 2.9 rating from a 2.7) to score its top rating since Feb. 24 and its second-best since Dec. 2. In total viewers, "Blacklist" is currently up slightly week to week (11.030 million vs. 10.969 million) to its biggest overall audience since Feb. 24, pending updates.
· L+7 Time-Shifting: The March.3 "Blacklist" grew by 5.9 million viewers in "live plus seven day" results (to 16.9 million from 11.0 million) and was up 72%or 1.93 rating points in 18-49 (to a 4.62 from a 2.69).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.4/9; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.6/7; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.2/6.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.5/7; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/5 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.6/6 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.8/5 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/4 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
