NBC has tied for the weeklong ratings victory in primetime results for April 11-17 in the key demographic of adults 18-49, as well as adults 25-54, according to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.
Monday and Tuesday telecasts of "The Voice" tied for the #2 show of the week among primetime programs on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and they were joined in the Nielsen Top 25 by Sunday's "Little Big Shots" (tied for #9), Wednesday's special "Voice" (tied for #9), Tuesday's "Game of Silence" preview (tied for #20), Monday's "Blindspot" (tied for #20) and Thursday's "The Blacklist" (tied for #20).
In total viewers,
NBC delivered three of the week's five most-watched primetime shows on ABC, CBS,
NBC or Fox, with Tuesday's "Voice" (#2), "Little Big Shots" (#3) and Monday's "Voice" (#5).
"Little Big Shots" also ranked #2 for the week on the Big 4 in kids 2-11 and tied for #2 in teens 12-17.
NBC grew versus the same week last year by +9% in adults 18-49 (with a 1.2 rating vs. a 1.1), +6% in adults 25-54 (1.7 vs. 1.6) and +13% in total viewers (5.7 million vs. 5.0 million).
Season to date,
NBC is running within 0.2 of a rating point of #1 behind Super Bowl-boosted
CBS in adults 18-49 and is tied for #1 in adults 18-34.
NBC's total-viewer average of 8.353 million is the network's highest at this point in a season without a
SUPER BOWL or Olympic boost since 2006-07 (9.190 million).
Primetime averages for the week of April 11-17 in adults 18-49 are: ABC, 1.2 rating, 4 share; NBC, 1.2/4; CBS, 1.2/4; Fox, 1.1/4; and CW, 0.4/1. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: CBS, 7.5 million; NBC, 5.7 million; ABC, 5.4 million; Fox, 3.2 million; and CW, 1.1 million.
"Most current" averages for the season to date are: CBS, 2.4/8; NBC, 2.2/7; Fox, 2.0/7; ABC, 1.8/6; and CW, 0.8/3. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 11.2 million; NBC, 8.4 million; ABC, 6.8 million; Fox, 6.1 million; and CW, 1.9 million.
