MECUM AUCTIONS: ANAHEIM - THURSDAY-SATURDAY ON NBCSN
NBCSN will present 15 hours of Mecum Auctions coverage from its Anaheim auction this week, beginning tonight at 7 p.m. ET. Tomorrow's coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. ET, and continues on Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
More than 750 cars will be up for auction at this week's Anaheim auction, including a red 1970 Plymouth Superbird that is one of just 308 six-barrel, four-speed Superbirds that is documented by the original broadcast sheet, and a 1957 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible that is one of just 630 made in the first year of production.
Scott Hoke will host
NBC Sports Group's Mecum Auctions coverage on-site at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif., alongside analysts John Kraman, Stephen Cox, and Bill Stephens. Mecum Auctions is led by Dana Mecum, Founder and President of Mecum Auctions for the past 27 years.
RED BULL GLOBAL RALLYCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP: SUNDAY AT 1:30 P.M. ET ON NBC
NBC presents the 2014 Red Bull Global RallyCross Championship from Las Vegas, Nev., this Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET. Four drivers carried championship aspirations into the final race in Las Vegas; Joni Wiman (Olsbergs MSE) held a 12-point advantage over Ken Block (Hoonigan Racing Division), followed by Nelson Piquet Jr. (SH Racing RallyCross) and Scott Speed (Volkswagen Andretti RallyCross). Wiman ultimately held off his competitors to capture the title last week.
Veteran motorsports play-by-play announcer Tes Sewell has the call on Sunday from The LINQ Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, joined by motorsports analyst Townsend Bell and reporter Kristen Kenney.
NASCAR AMERICA HOMESTEAD SPECIAL AIRS FRIDAY NIGHT AT 10:30 P.M. ET, PREVIEWING 2014 SEASON FINALE IN MIAMI
NBCSN will present a special
NASCAR AMERICA Homestead Special tomorrow night at 10:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, as all three NASCAR national series get set to close out their seasons at Homestead-Miami this weekend.
Friday's edition of NASCAR AMERICA, hosted by NASCAR on
NBC lead race announcer Rick Allen alongside
NBC Sports NASCAR analysts Kyle Petty and Jeff Burton, will feature an interview with NASCAR CEO and Chairman Brian France, multiple reports from Homestead from Marty Snider, and a preview of the winner-take-all Championship race on Sunday.
2014 FORMULA ONE SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP TO BE DECIDED SUNDAY, NOV. 23 ON
NBCSN AT ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX
The 2014 Formula One Drivers' Championship will be decided on Sunday, Aug. 23, when
NBCSN presents the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at 7:30 a.m. ET. Nico Rosberg (Mercedes) won last weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix to move within 17 points of championship points leader and teammate Lewis Hamilton, and the championship will be decided between the two drivers that have won 15 of this season's 18 races.
NBCSN and
NBC Sports Live Extra will provide comprehensive coverage of all practices and qualifying, leading into NBCSN's coverage of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix next Sunday.
