NBC Sports to Present Indycar ABC Supply 500 at Pocono This Weekend

NBC Sports Group continues its coverage of the 2016 INDYCAR Verizon Series this weekend with a live presentation of the ABC Supply 500 from Pocono Raceway this Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

In addition, Jay Leno will make a visit to the broadcast booth during CNBC's Mecum Auctions coverage from its iconic Monterey event, which gets underway on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET, highlighted by luxury vehicles with ties to multiple celebrities, including Pete Sampras and George Foreman. NBCSN will also present the LUCAS OIL PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP Budds Creek National on Sunday at 11 p.m. ET.

NBC Sports Group continues its exclusive cable coverage of the 2016 Verizon INDYCAR SERIES this weekend with live comprehensive coverage from Pocono Raceway, as Will Power (Penske) continues his pursuit of teammate Simon Pagenaud atop the championship standings. Pagenaud sits in first place with 484 points, 58 points ahead of Power. Pagenaud bolstered his position at the top in the series' most recent event at Mid-Ohio, holding off Power to notch his first win since the Grand Prix of Indianapolis on May 14.

Coverage begins on NBCSN late Saturday night at 12:30 a.m. ET with qualifying. Sunday's action begins at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN with INDYCAR Countdown, leading into live race coverage from the "Tricky Triangle" at 3:30 p.m. ET.

Brian Till (play-by-play) will call the action alongside analysts and drivers Paul Tracy and Townsend Bell. Reporters Jon Beekhuis, Katie Hargitt, Robin Miller and Kevin Lee will report from the pits.

CNBC presents more than 10 hours of Mecum Auctions coverage from its iconic event in Monterey, Calif., this weekend, highlighted by a guest appearance in the broadcast booth by former Tonight Show host and avid car collector and enthusiast Jay Leno on Saturday.

Highlights from this weekend's auction include:

1966 BSA A65L motorcycle purchased new in 1966 by Carl Wilson of the Beach Boys;

1961 Lincoln Continental Convertible that was loaned to The White House by the Ford Motor Company for First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy's use;

1967 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Roadster purchased that was purchased new by Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and Grammy Award winner Bobby Darin;

1997 Porsche 911 Turbo S previously owned by American tennis legend Pete Sampras;

1997 Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster that has had one private owner - boxing legend George Foreman.

Coverage gets underway on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET on CNBC, and continues Sunday with more than five hours of Mecum Auctions action, beginning at 1:30 p.m. ET.

Scott Hoke will host NBCSN's Mecum Auctions coverage on-site at the Colorado Convention Center, alongside analysts John Kraman, Stephen Cox, Bill Stephens, and Steve Matchett. Mecum Auctions is led by Dana Mecum, Founder and President of Mecum Auctions for the past 28 years.

NBCSN presents the penultimate race of the 2016 LUCAS OIL PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP this Sunday at 11 p.m. ET from Budds Creek National in Mechanicsville, Md. Ken Roczen extended his lead in the 450 Class standings to 63 points with a dominant performance at Unadilla last weekend, while Cooper Webb swept the 250 Class event at Unadilla to stay atop the standings.

Veteran play-by-play voice Jason Weigandt, analyst and two-time AMA Pro MOTOCROSS Champion Grant Langston, and pit reporter Georgia Lindsay will call this weekend's action.

As NBC Sports Group's presentation of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games winds down, the engines of NASCAR rev back into action with back-to-back races UNDER THE LIGHTS of Bristol Motor Speedway. The NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES returns on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. The stars of tomorrow take the wheel with XFINITY Series racing Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET on USA Network.
