Chelsea host Tottenham in a battle between top-five Premier League teams and London rivals this Saturday, Nov. 26, at 12:30 p.m. ET on NBC and NBC UNIVERSO, highlighting this weekend's Premier League coverage.
When the teams last met in May, Chelsea ended Tottenham's hopes of winning the Premier League title after they came from down 2-0 to secure a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge. The high-pressured match also produced 12 yellow cards. Now, first-place Chelsea find themselves top of the table after a six-game winning streak that's seen them outscore their opponents 17-0, while Spurs remain the only unbeaten team in the league. Tottenham are looking for their first-ever Premier League win at Stamford Bridge, and their first win there in any competition since 1990.
"What a fantastic game for our
NBC audience to enjoy," said Arlo White,
NBC Sports Group's lead Premier League play-by-play commentator. "The memories are still fresh in my mind from last May and that thrilling and ill-tempered clash at Stamford Bridge. It was the most intense and compelling 90 minutes of Football that I witnessed all season. The 'Battle of Stamford Bridge' has elevated this London rivalry to a whole new level. With both teams chasing the title this season, and Tottenham desperate to avenge their title heartbreak, I expect similar fireworks on Saturday."
White calls the match alongside analyst Graeme Le Saux at Stamford Bridge.
