NBCSN presents the first race of the Round of Eight this Sunday at 1:15 p.m. ET as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Playoffs roll into Martinsville Speedway. With only four races remaining in the 2015 season, Martinsville provides the final eight drivers in contention their first opportunity to guarantee a coveted shot at the Sprint Cup Championship. On the heels of last week's controversial and charged finish at Talladega, it's a safe bet that fans are in store for a hard weekend of racing from Ridgeway, Virginia.

Pre-race coverage takes an in-depth look at the individual stories of each of the eight remaining Chase drivers. From Joey Logano, to Carl Edwards, Kurt Busch, Brad Keselowski, Martin Truex Jr., Kevin Harvick, Jeff Gordon and Kyle Busch, each of these athletes have navigated a different path to this point, where the 2015 Championship trophy is within sight.

Before the green flag falls, Countdown to Green takes a look back at Jeff Gordon's eight wins at Martinsville's half-mile track. The shortest track in the NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES has historically been one of Gordon's strongest. All fingers point to Martinsville as the track for Gordon to clinch his first 2015 win.

Pre-race coverage also features a segment entitled "Father Time," which profiles THE FIVE Chase drivers who are dads. A sport rich with traditions, NASCAR's family dynamic enables fathers to celebrate alongside their children as they attempt to win the historic Grandfather clock in Martinsville's victory lane.
