NBC Sports Group presents coverage of the 2017 EUROPEAN FIGURE SKATING CHAMPIONSHIPS this week, highlighted by live coverage of the event at 2 p.m. ET tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 25, Thursday, Jan. 26, and Friday, Jan. 27, on NBCSN. Coverage begins tomorrow at Noon ET with the ladies' short program, and culminates this Saturday, Jan. 28, with the free dance live at 9 a.m. ET and the men's free program at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN. NBC presents encore coverage of the ladies' and men's free skate on Saturday, Feb. 4, at 3 p.m. ET.
The men's field is highlighted by four-time European champion and two-time World champion Javier Fernandez of Spain. The ladies' competition features reigning World and European champion Yevgenia Medvedeva of Russia, and the return of 2014 Olympic bronze medalist and five-time European champion Carolina Kostner of Italy. Reigning European and World champions Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron of France are favorites in the ice dance competition, while four-time European pairs champion Aliona Savchenko of Germany looks to return to the top of the podium, this time with partner Bruno Massot.
Andrea Joyce calls the action on
NBCSN alongside 2011 U.S. champion Ryan Bradley. Joyce will be joined by 2006 Olympic silver medalist Ben Agosto for the ice dance events. Tanith White, who won the 2006 Olympic ice dance silver medal with Agosto, calls the event on NBC, joined by 1998 Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski and three-time U.S.
