NBC Sports Group presents coverage of the 2016 Grand Prix Final in Marseille, France, this week, highlighted by coverage on NBCSN this Sunday, Dec. 11, at 8:30 p.m. ET. NBC will present an encore presentation of the event on Sunday, Dec. 18, at 4 p.m. ET.

Coverage begins tonight at 9:30 p.m. ET on Universal HD with the men's and pairs' short programs. NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app will live stream the event.

Competing for the U.S. are reigning U.S. champion Adam Rippon, who qualified for his first Grand Prix Final by earning the bronze medal at both Skate America and Grand Prix France, and 2016 U.S. bronze medalist Nathan Chen, who qualified for the Final in his first season on the senior Grand Prix circuit with a silver medal at Grand Prix Japan and a fourth-place finish at Grand Prix France.

U.S. ice dance champions and World silver medalists Maia Shibutani and Alex Shibutani make their fourth Grand Prix Final appearance after winning gold medals at Skate America and Grand Prix China. They will be joined by two-time Grand Prix Final silver medalists Madison Chock and Evan Bates, and three-time U.S. ice dance bronze medalists Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue.

Highlighting the international field in the men's competition are two-time World champion Javier Fernandez of Spain, and 2014 Olympic gold medalist Yuzuru Hanyu of Japan. The ladies competition features a trio of Russian contenders: reigning World and Grand Prix Final champion Yevgenia Medvedeva, 2016 World and European bronze medalist Anna Pogorilaya, and 2015 World bronze medalist Yelena Radyonova.

The ice dance event features 2010 Olympic Champions and 2014 Olympic silver medalists Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir of Canada, and two-time World champions Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron of France. Two-time and reigning World champions Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford of Canada lead the pairs' event following two victories on the Grand Prix circuit.

Play-by-play announcer Terry Gannon calls the action on NBC and NBCSN, joined by 1998 Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski and three-time U.S. FIGURE SKATING champion Johnny Weir. Tracy Wilson reports from rink-side.

The Grand Prix Series, now in its 22nd season, consists of six international events in a cumulative point-scoring format. Each athlete is eligible to score points in up to two of the six scheduled events. The top six point-earners in each discipline qualify for the 2016 ISU Grand Prix of FIGURE SKATING Final, set for Dec. 8-11, in Marseille France.

NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app - NBC Sports Group's live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, tablets, and connected TVs - will stream this weekend's FIGURE SKATING coverage.
