NBC Sports Network will televise three college basketball games this week, plus one college hockey contest called by veteran NHL commentators Mike 'Doc' Emrick and Pierre McGuire. In addition, NBC Sports college football studio host Liam McHugh will be on-site in Miami to file Notre Dame - Alab?ama reports from today through Monday.
COLLEGE BASKETBALL
Coverage begins on Thursday night at 7 p.m. ET, when George Mason hosts Northeastern at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va.Todd Harris will handle play-by-play duties for the game and will be joined by analyst Ron Thompson.
College basketball coverage continues on Saturday night at 5 p.m. ET when Lehigh travels to the Siegel Center in Richmond, Va., to take on VCU. Veteran play-by-play announcer Dave Strader will call the action, alongside analyst Dave Kaplan.
On Sunday night at 5:30 p.m. ET, No. 13 Florida takes on Yale at the Payne Whitney Gymnasium in New Haven, Conn. Randy Moss will serve as the play-by-play announcer for the matchup and will be joined by analyst Dalen Cuff.
The NBC Sports Network will televise more than 60 college basketball games this season -- the most in its history -- featuring more than 40 different schools. The majority of the games and teams will come from the Atlantic 10, Mountain West, Colonial Athletic Association and Ivy League conferences.
COLLEGE HOCKEY
In addition to this week's college basketball coverage, NBC Sports Network will feature college hockey coverage on Friday night. No. 13 Nebraska-Omaha hosts Colorado College at 7:30 p.m. ET, from the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Neb. Emmy Award-winning play-by-play announcer Mike 'Doc' Emrick will call the game, alongside 'Inside-the-Glass' analyst Pierre McGuire.
NBC Sports Network will offer more college hockey games this season than ever before. By compiling a schedule of contests from the ECAC, Hockey East, the University of Denver, the University of Notre Dame and the University of Nebraska-Omaha, NBC Sports Network is airing 25 games this season.
COLLEGE FOOTBALL
NBC Sports will offer extensive coverage of the Notre Dame-Alabama BCS Championship Game. Today through Monday, NBC Sports college football studio host Liam McHugh will be on-site in Miami offering reports for various programs and updates across both NBC and NBC Sports Network.
Today through Friday, McHugh will produce reports for NBC Sports Talk and The 'Lights on NBC Sports Network. On Saturday, McHugh will report live from Sun Life Stadium during pre-game and halftime of NBC Sports' coverage of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, the high school all-star football game airing on NBC. An interview he conducted with BrIan Kelly will also air.
On Monday, McHugh will provide frequent live reports from Sun Life Stadium during the afternoon on NBC Sports Network.NBC Sports Talk will be dedicated to Notre Dame-Alabama coverage with McHugh hosting NBC Sports college football analyst Doug Flutie and other special guests live from Sun Life Stadium. McHugh will often be joined by Pat Forde of Yahoo! Sports and Keith Arnold, NBCSports.com's Notre Dame insider.
