NBC Sports Group continues its NHL regular-season coverage this week with three matchups, highlighted by the New York Rangers at the Washington Capitals on Wednesday Night Rivalry at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Coverage begins with NHL Live at 7 p.m. ET.
This is the first meeting between the Rangers and Capitals since the two teams squared off in a dramatic best-of-seven Eastern Conference Quarterfinals series last May. The home team won the first six games of the series, before Henrik Lundqvist and the Rangers shut out the Capitals 5-0 in Washington D.C. to advance. Wednesday night's matchup marks the first of four meetings between the Metropolitan Division foes.
Emmy Award-winning play-by-play commentator Mike 'Doc' Emrick, analyst Eddie Olczyk and Emmy Award-winning 'Inside-the-Glass' analyst Pierre McGuire will have the call from Verizon Center in downtown Washington, D.C.
NBCSN's game coverage this week begins tonight with the Buffalo Sabres hosting the Minnesota Wild at 7:30 p.m. ET. Emrick and McGuire will have the call from the First Niagara Center in Buffalo, N.Y.
This week's NHL coverage on NBCSN continues on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET with a pair of unbeaten teams, when the St. Louis Blues host the San Jose Sharks. Dave Strader (play-by-play) and Brian Engblom (analyst) will call the action from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Mo.
NBC Sports Live Extra - NBC Sports Group's live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, and tablets - will stream all 2013-14 NHL regular season games televised on NBC and NBCSN, including this week's Wild-Sabres, Sharks-Blues, and Rangers-Capitals matchups.
NHL Live, NBC Sports Group live NHL pre-game and post-game studio show, begins one hour before all games on NBCSN. Liam McHugh will host NHL Live with former players and analysts Mike Milbury, Keith Jones and Jeremy Roenick from the International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn.
NBCSN will debut two new episodes of NHL Rivals and NHL Top 10 this week, as NBC Sports Group continues to expand its NHL coverage with programming focused on hockey's historic rivalries and some of the game's most-debated topics.
NHL Rivals, which debuts each week on Tuesday at 10:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, dovetails off of NBCSN's Wednesday Night Rivalry, which Forbes dubbed "the hottest new brand in sports." This week's episode will feature the New York Rangers and Washington Capitals, who have faced each other in four of the last five Stanley Cup playoffs.

Rangers captain Ryan Callahan on recent playoff battles against Capitals: "When you play a team that many times in the playoffs, the animosity builds up."
Former Capitals forward Matt Hendricks on 5-0 loss to Rangers in Game 7 of playoff series last year: "It was really tough. It's just tough to look at the New York Rangers and know they beat us when I felt we had the upper hand."
