NBC Sports' SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL heads to TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minn., for the first time this Sunday, Dec. 27, when Adrian Peterson and the Minnesota VIKINGS (9-5, NFC North) host Eli Manning and the New York Giants (6-8, NFC East) at 8:30 p.m. ET on NBC. Coverage begins with FOOTBALL NIGHT IN AMERICA - the most-watched weekly studio show in sports - at 7 p.m. ET.

The VIKINGS sit on the brink of a playoff berth following a 38-17 win against the Bears in Week 15, and can earn a postseason bid with a tie or win against the Giants (as well as by other scenarios). VIKINGS QB Teddy Bridgewater, who entered Week 15 with just nine touchdown passes, threw for four TDs and rushed for another in last week's win. Peterson currently leads all NFL running backs with 1,314 yards rushing.

The Giants face a tougher road to the postseason, and are currently one game behind Philadelphia and Washington in the NFC East. New York is coming off a last-second 38-35 loss to the undefeated Carolina Panthers, after erasing a 35-7 second-half deficit. Manning heads into Week 16 tied for third among all QBs with 32 passing TDs.

Sunday night's game marks the first time the VIKINGS and Giants will meet on NBC Sports' Sunday Night Football. The two teams last met in 2013, when the Giants earned a 23-7 win over the VIKINGS at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

Calling Giants-Vikings are seven-time Emmy Award-winner Al Michaels (play-by-play), in his record 30th season as THE VOICE of the NFL's premier primetime package; 16-time Emmy Award-winner Cris Collinsworth, who has won the Emmy for Outstanding Event Analyst in each of his six seasons in the SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL booth; and two-time Emmy Award-winning sideline reporter Michele Tafoya.

NBC's coverage of SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL is led by Emmy Award-winning producer Fred Gaudelli and Emmy Award-winning director Drew Esocoff.

Football Night in America, the most-watched studio show in sports, is hosted by 26-time Emmy Award-winner Bob Costas, who will report from TCF Bank Stadium. Costas will be joined on site by Collinsworth, Tafoya, and two-time SUPER BOWL winner Hines Ward.

Dan Patrick co-hosts Football Night from NBC Sports Group's International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn., joined by Super Bowl-winning head coach Tony Dungy, two-time SUPER BOWL winner Rodney Harrison, Mike Florio of PRO FOOTBALL TALK on NBCSN and NBCSports.com, and NFL Insider Peter King. Carolyn Manno will report from University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., on the Packers-Cardinals game.
