Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA presents "BASKETBALL GOLD WEEK", a special slate of holiday programming with over 25 hours of basketball gold medal games and documentaries, beginning tonight and continuing every night through Jan. 1, 2019.

Hosted by Mike Tirico, "BASKETBALL GOLD WEEK" features presentations of every Olympic men's basketball gold medal game from Barcelona 1992 through Rio 2016, and every Olympic women's basketball gold medal game from ATLANTA 1996 through Rio 2016.

Coverage will be live streamed on OlympicChannel.com, the Olympic Channel app, NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.

"BASKETBALL GOLD WEEK" will include 13 games and two documentaries showcasing the historic talents of Team USA in the last 26 years. Team USA won seven of the eight men's gold medals during the span of '92-'16, including the historic 1992 gold medal won by the "Dream Team" in Barcelona. Among the basketball superstars to be featured are Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal, and Kobe Bryant for the men, and Lisa Leslie, Rebecca Lobo, Sheryl Swoopes, Tamika Catchings, and Diana Taurasi for the women.

Featured on the night of the 1992 men's gold medal game is an encore presentation of the Dream Team documentary produced by NBC for the 2012 London Olympics, which included interviews with Hall of Fame players Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and Charles Barkley.

Also featured in the week's programming will be a presentation of the Five Ring Films documentary, "The Golden Generation." The documentary tells the story of the 2004 Argentina team, which defeated the U.S. men on its way to a gold medal, led by future NBA star Manu Ginobili.
