Just in time for the kickoff of the 2016 NFL season, NBC Sports Digital will launch a new weekly live, digital-exclusive show this season, Rotoworld FANTASY FOOTBALL KICKOFF Presented by Kia. It debuts today, Thursday, September 8, at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app. The 30-minute show, hosted by Paul Burmeister and featuring Rotoworld analysts Josh Norris and Raymond Summerlin, will live stream Thursdays throughout the NFL season and will be available on-demand on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.
The program combines the best fantasy football expertise from Rotoworld - the internet's highest-trafficked fantasy sports information site and the industry leader in fantasy sports information - and
NBC Sports, featuring guest analysts and the most up-to-date information, giving fans all the tools to set their lineups leading into the weekend.
Summerlin will host weekly Facebook Live chats on the
NBC Sports page each Tuesday at Noon ET to answer fan questions. In addition, short "Daily Dose" video hosted by Jenna Corrado featuring the latest news and analysis will be posted to NBCSports.com and Rotoworld.com each day throughout the NFL season. On Twitter, fans can weigh in each Thursday morning on hot topics for that evening's show via the @Rotoworld Twitter poll. On Fridays, fans can Tweet @Rotoworld with their line-up questions to have them answered by Rotoworld's rankings guru Patrick Daugherty.
ProfootballTalk's Mike Florio will also host Facebook Live chats and on-demand videos sponsored by Verizon throughout the season, previewing the weekend's match-ups. The videos begin today for Kickoff, and will move to Fridays beginning next week. In addition to answering fan questions, the video chats will feature on-video graphics, polling and interactivity through the interactive Telescope platform.
The NFL opens the regular season tomorrow with NFL Kickoff 2016 on NBC, with a
SUPER BOWL 50 rematch, as the defending
SUPER BOWL champion Denver Broncos host the Carolina Panthers. Coverage begins on
NBC at 7:30 p.m. ET. Then, on Sunday, Sept. 11, the New England Patriots visit the Arizona Cardinals in the opening
SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL game of the season.
