The sixth season of Emmy Award-nominated NFL Turning Point, NBCSN's weekly NFL show co-produced by NFL Films, kicks off tonight, Wednesday, September 14 at 9 p.m. ET.
The season-opening show is highlighted by an in-depth look at QB Aaron Rodgers and the Packers' win over the Jaguars; features a review of QB Eli Manning and the Giants' game-winning drive against the Cowboys; breaks down the
SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL showdown between the Patriots and Cardinals; and includes in-game audio from WR Doug Baldwin during the Seahawks' game-winning drive against the Dolphins.
Hosted by Football Night In America's Dan Patrick, the 30-minute long NFL Turning Point, co-produced by NFL Films, will air weekly throughout the entire NFL season, including the playoffs and Super Bowl.
This week's episode features:
- Packers-Jaguars: NFL FILMS examines the Packers back-and-forth scoring battle with the Jaguars on Sunday, and breaks down Rodgers' acrobatic touchdown pass to WR Devante Adams with seconds left in the second quarter.
- Giants-Cowboys: NFL TURNING POINT reviews the Giants' victory over the Cowboys, and highlights the keys to the team's win on the road. The segment shines a spotlight on WR Victor Cruz's return to regular season play and his game-winning touchdown. In addition, NFL FILMS studies head coach Ben McAdoo and the Giants' clock management at the end of the game and how it differed from the team's season opener in 2015.
- Patriots-Cardinals: NFL FILMS analyzes the Patriots' matchup with the Cardinals and examines how backup QB Jimmy Garoppolo maintained the team's momentum during the game and led New England to victory in the final minutes of the fourth quarter.
- Doug Baldwin: Wednesday night's episode will also feature a Sounds of The Game - Powered by BOSE - segment with Baldwin, who was wired-for-sound during the Seahawks' matchup with the Dolphins on Sunday and scored the game-winning touchdown.
Each week NFL TURNING POINT is built around select NFL matchups from the previous weekend, and focuses on the crucial "turning point" moments that ultimately defined the outcome of each game. The show also features anatomy-of-a-play type segments and long-form game-of-the-week style narratives that include pre-game and post-game access, sideline sounds, jaw-dropping cinematography and incredible storytelling that is synonymous with NFL Films.
In 2016 NBCSN will air a total of 21 NFL TURNING POINT episodes. The season finale, scheduled to air on Wednesday, February 8, 2016, will look back at the "turning point" of SUPER BOWL LI.
