NBC Sports Announces Olympic Winter Sports Weekend Coverage

U.S. Olympic gold medalists Sage Kotsenburg and Joss Christensen descend into Boston's Fenway Park from a ramp three times higher than the iconic Green Monster this week, as NBC and NBCSN presents the U.S. Ski and Snowboard "Big Air At Fenway" event, beginning tonight at 8:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Coverage from Fenway continues tomorrow evening on NBCSN at 9 p.m. ET, and moves to NBC on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET.

This week's Olympic winter sports coverage includes freeskiing, snowboarding, and moguls action this Saturday and Sunday on NBC, a new episode of CURLING NIGHT IN AMERICA on Friday night at 10 p.m. ET on NBCSN, the Luge World Championships from Germany tonight at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, and FIS World Cup skiing coverage on Universal HD and NBC Sports Live Extra.

NBCSN also kicks off its coverage of the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games from Lillehammer, Norway, this Saturday, Feb. 13 at 12:30 a.m. ET.

NBC Sports Live Extra - NBC Sports Group's live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, tablets and connected TVs - will stream all of this weekend's Olympic winter sports coverage.

USSA "BIG AIR AT FENWAY" - COVERAGE BEGINS TONIGHT AT 8:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

NBC Sports Group's U.S. Ski and Snowboard coverage from Fenway Park begins tonight at 8:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, followed by live coverage Friday at 9 p.m. ET. NBC will present coverage from Boston on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET.

The event features a 140-foot snow ramp, which stands more than three times the height of Fenway's iconic Green Monster left field wall. This marks the third big air stop on the FIS Snowboard World Cup tour and second stop on the U.S. Grand Prix tour. Men's and women's big air SNOWBOARDING will make its Olympic debut at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

In addition, NBCSN will present taped aerials coverage from the VISA Freestyle International from Deer Valley, Utah, tonight at 10 p.m. ET, following live coverage from Fenway. NBC will also present freeskiing coverage from Park City, Utah, this Saturday at 4 p.m. ET, and SNOWBOARDING halfpipe from Park City on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET, followed by dual moguls action from the VISA Freestyle International at 2:30 p.m. ET.

Todd Harris (play-by-play), Todd Richards (analyst), Luke Van Valin (analyst), Jonny Moseley (analyst) and Tina Dixon (reporter) will have the call of this weekend's ski and snowboard coverage on NBC and NBCSN.

CURLING NIGHT IN AMERICA - FRIDAY AT 10:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

NBCSN continues its CURLING NIGHT IN AMERICA series on Friday night at 10:30 p.m. ET, as Jamie Sinclair and the Americans take on Team China on the women's side. NBCSN will also air an encore presentation of last week's CURLING NIGHT IN AMERICA mixed doubles matchup featuring Team USA against Team China.

Jason Knapp (play-by-play) and 2006 Olympic bronze medalist and eight-time U.S. national champion Pete Fenson (analyst) will provide commentary, while Tanith White (reporter) offers reports from Curl Mesabi in Eveleth, Minn.

NBCSN's Friday night CURLING NIGHT IN AMERICA telecasts have averaged 110,000 viewers, and each of the last four have surpassed 100,000 viewers. To date, CURLING NIGHT IN AMERICA viewership on NBCSN is up 39% vs. 2015 (79,000).

LUGE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS - TONIGHT AT 6:30 P.M. ET

NBCSN presents coverage of the 2016 Luge World Championships from Koenigssee, Germany, tonight at 6:30 p.m. Americans featured in the event include three-time Olympian Erin Hamlin, as well as Summer Britcher, who earned a gold medal in the team relay at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck, Austria. Leigh Diffey (play-by-play) and U.S Olympian Kate Hansen (analyst) will provide commentary for the Luge World Championships.


NBCSN BEGINS COVERAGE OF 2016 WINTER YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES FROM LILLEHAMMER THIS SATURDAY, FEB. 13 AT 12:30 A.M. ET

NBCSN will present daily highlight coverage of the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway, beginning this Saturday, Feb. 13, at 12:30 a.m. ET/Friday, Feb. 12 at 9:30 p.m. PT, with a presentation of the Opening Ceremony.

NBCSN will provide 10 consecutive days of coverage with hour-long programs that feature the best highlights of each day's events in Lillehammer. NBC Sports Group commentators Carolyn Manno, Jimmy Roberts, Liam McHugh, and Dave Briggs will combine to host NBCSN's coverage of the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games. UNIVERSAL HD AND NBC SPORTS LIVE EXTRA PRESENT FIS WORLD CUP SKIING COVERAGE

Universal HD and NBC Sports Live Extra will combine to present FIS World Cup alpine skiing, cross-country and freestyle coverage this weekend. Universal HD and NBC Sports Live Extra will also present IBSF World Championship bobsled and skeleton coverage and ISU speedskating coverage, as well as IBU World Cup biathlon action.
