NBC wins Wednesday night among the Big 4 networks in every key ratings measure, prevailing by a +30% margin in 18-49 (1.3 vs. 1.0 for #2 Fox) and by +2.8 million persons or +75% in total viewers (6.6 million vs. 3.8 million for #2 CBS).
It's the third consecutive Wednesday that NBC has won in both 18-49 and total viewers.
"America's Got Talent" (1.5/7 in 18-49, 9.8 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET):
· Is the #1 show of the night in total viewers by a margin of +4.0 million viewers or +71% (9.8 million vs. 5.7 million for #2 "Big Brother"), while tying as the #1 show of the night in 18-49 (1.5 each for "Talent" and "Big Brother").
· Maintains 100% of last week's 1.5 in these preliminary fast-affiliate ratings and 94% of last week's 1.6 in official nationals.
· In total viewers, grows versus both last week's fast-affiliate 9.526 million and last week's official-national 9.685 million.
· Jumps +67% above NBC's summer-to-date average in the timeslot prior to "Talent" (1.5 vs. 0.9, L+SD) and +6.2 million persons or +172% in total viewers (9.759 million vs. 3.594 million).
· Will increase substantially via time-shifting and VOD - the prior Wednesday "Talent" grew by +24% in 18-49 (1.58 to 1.96) and +1.6 million viewers overall (9.7 million to 11.3 million) going from L+SD to L+3 Nielsens, for the night's biggest L+3 lift in total viewers.
"World of Dance" (1.1/5 in 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET):
· Wins its two-hour 9-11 p.m. timeslot in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key measures.
· Is currently up week to week in total viewers (5.087 million vs. 5.053 million), pending updates, and is rating within 0.1 of last week's 18-49 rating (1.1 vs. 1.2, which was a season high for a Wednesday "World" telecast).
· Beats the timeslot's combined ABC-CBS encore competition in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and nearly all other key demographics.
· Will grow significantly via time-shifting and VOD - last week's "World of Dance" increased by +33% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+3 (from a 1.19 to 1.58) and more than +1.2 million viewers overall (5.1 million vs. 6.3 million).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.6/5 with an encore telecast; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 1.7/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.4/4 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.4/3 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.3/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3 with an encore.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 0.9/3 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 0.9/3 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/3 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/1 with an encore.
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
