NBC has pulled the plug on its struggling newsmagazine ROCK CENTER WITH BrIan Williams for the remainder of the May sweeps period. Repeats of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" will instead fill its Wednesday, 9:00/8:00c slot, scheduling updates from the network confirmed this afternoon.
Wedneday's ROCK CENTER delivered a very modest 3.65 million viewers and a 0.8 rating among adults 18-49, making it the least-watched program of the night on the broadcast networks (excluding The CW).
Featuring anchor and managing editor BrIan Williams and correspondents Harry Smith, Kate Snow, Ted Koppel, Meredith Vieira, Natalie Morales, Richard Engel, Dr. Nancy Snyderman, Matt Lauer and Ann Curry, ROCK CENTER airs Mondays at 10 p.m.
Broadcast live from the historic Studio 3B in Rockefeller Center, the weekly, hour-long newsmagazine is built around the week's most provocative events and newsmaker interviews. Williams and NBC’s global news division take viewers deeper into the world’s most talked-about stories.
