Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum recording artist Pentatonix is returning to NBC this holiday season with A VERY PENTATONIX CHRISTMAS set for Monday, Nov. 27 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The special will also have an encore airing on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 8 p.m.
The one-hour television event will feature a duet with Oscar, Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild, BAFTA and Grammy Award winner
Jennifer Hudson and take viewers on a musical journey filled with joy, heart and laughter as the group performs some of their holiday favorites.

Jay Leno, star of NBC's "The Tonight Show with
Jay Leno" for 22 seasons and one of the greatest stand-up comedians of all time, as well as 13-year-old "America's Got Talent" winner Darci Lynne Farmer will make guest star appearances on the special. Other guests will be announced at a later date.

Pentatonix Christmas Tour on December 3rd in Chicago. The group has sold more than 6.4 million albums (in total consumption) in the U.S. alone, won three Grammy Awards, received a Daytime Emmy nomination and performed for hundreds of thousands of fans at their sold-out shows across the globe. Their
Youtube channel boasts more than 13.7 million subscribers, yielding over 2.7 billion video views, and their 2015 self-titled album has been certified gold after debuting #1 on Billboard's 200.
Additionally, seven of their albums reached the top 10 on Billboard's 200 chart (2 at #1) and received multiple RIAA certifications for multi-platinum, platinum and gold selling albums and singles. In 2015, the group released its first tour documentary - On My Way Home - and appeared in the feature film Pitch Perfect 2. Earlier this year, the group released PTX Vol. 4 - Classics which features their Grammy Award-winning performance of "Jolene" with
Dolly Parton, as well as an arrangement of the
John Lennon classic "Imagine."
Hudson currently serves as a coach on NBC's four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice." Last December, Hudson starred as Motormouth Maybelle on NBC's "Hairspray Live!," where she gave a powerful rendition of "I Know Where I've Been," for which she received rave reviews. In May 2016 Hudson completed her triumphant run in the acclaimed revival of "The Color Purple," performing the role of Shug Avery in her Broadway debut.
Last holiday season, "A
Pentatonix Christmas Special" averaged a 1.4 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49 and 7.5 million viewers overall, according to "live plus same day" ratings from Nielsen Media Research. That improved the timeslot versus NBC's averages for the prior season by +27% in 18-49 (1.4 vs 1.1) and +1.5 million persons or +25% in total viewers (7.5 million vs. 6.0 million). It also delivered a strong upscale audience, indexing at a 127 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes (with 100 representing an average concentration of those homes)
