Pilot season is in full swing, and REMINGTON STEELE is headed back to NBC.

Deadline reports that the network has put a reboot of the popular 1980s series into development, with Jay Scherick and David Ronn writing and Ruben Fleischer at the helm.

The proposed reboot would center on "Olivia Holt, the daughter of Remington Steele and Laura Holt, as she reopens the once-world-famous Remington Steele Detective Agency - only to fall into the same hilarious, action-packed, romantic entanglements of her parents."

The original series starred Pierce Brosnan, Stephanie Zimbalist, and Doris Roberts and ran for five season between 1982-87.
