The Hollywood Reporter writes that NBC has picked up a pilot based on the 1990 John Ritter film PROBLEM CHILD.
Written by THE HANGOVER II's Scot Armstrong, PROBLEM CHILD is described as "a family show about the cat-and-mouse game between a set of parents and their brilliant but mischievous child."
Armstrong is also executive producing with Peter Traugott and Rachel Kaplan's TBD Productions. Imagine TV's Brian Grazer, who produced the original movie, is also on board.
This is far from the first time PROBLEM CHILD has been rebooted. Two sequels hit theaters in '91 and '95, and an animated series ran on USA in the mid-'90s.
