NBC News' MEET THE PRESS WITH CHUCK TODD(MTP) was the most-watched Sunday show for the second straight week with 3.919 million total viewers on Oct. 4, outperforming ABC's "This Week" by +189,000 viewers.
The show continues its strong momentum under the reins of Todd, delivering its first back-to-back win since February 2014 and drawing the largest audience in nearly four years (since 12/30/12). Year-over-year, MTP has grown +56% (+1.407 million) in total viewers and +35% (+233,000) in the 25-54 demo.
MTP has now topped ABC's "This Week" in total viewers for 11 consecutive weeks, despite consistently being rated for more minutes - 43 to 33 minutes this past Sunday, respectively.
MTP's dominance of the influential Washington, D.C. market is uncontested: it has ranked #1 in total viewers for every broadcast since April 14, 2015. This past Sunday, MTP more than tripled both
ABC and
FOX among total viewers and delivered its biggest audience in the market in more than 5 years.
MTP delivered an additional 1.310 million total viewers and 520,000 25-54 viewers with rebroadcasts on the
NBC network and on MSNBC.
Note: CBS's "Face the Nation" was pre-empted on Sunday, Oct. 4.
