"NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams" continued as America's most-watched network evening newscast in both total viewers and adults 25-54 for the week ending August 16, 2013, according to Nielsen Media Research data. Nightly has won in total viewers for 205 consecutive weeks, and in 252 of the past 253 weeks.

Weekly Highlights:

· Nightly delivered 7.195 million total viewers, +299,000 more than ABC World News' 6.896 million and +1,427,000 more than CBS Evening News' 5.768 million.
· Nightly averaged a 5.0/10 Household rating, ahead of ABC's 4.8/10 and CBS' 3.9/8.
· Nightly delivered a 1.6 A25-54 rating, +1 tenth more than ABC's 1.5 rating and +4 tenths more than CBS's 1.2 rating.
· Among A25-54 (000), Nightly averaged 1.865 million viewers, +91,000 ahead of World News' 1.774 million, and +480,000 ahead of Evening News' 1.385 million.

Trends:

· Nightly has won in total viewers for 205 consecutive weeks, and in 252 of the past 253 weeks.
· Nightly has won in viewers A25-54 for 246 of the past 247 weeks.
· Season-to-date, Nightly leads World News by +749,000 total viewers, and by +281,000 Adult 25-54 viewers (+2 tenths).

NOTE: The comparable week in 2012 was the first week following the London 2012 Olympic Games.
