NBC NIGHTLY NEWS Wins Across-the-Board; Delivers Largest Year-Over-Year Gains

"NBC NIGHTLY NEWS WITH LESTER HOLT" ranked #1 across-the-board for the week of April 11-15, 2016 and delivered the largest year-over-year gains among the three evening newscasts in every key demo. Versus the same week last season, the NBC broadcast was up in total viewers (+7%, +546,000), A25-54 viewers (+8%, +136,000), and A18-49 viewers (+12%, +148,000)

America's most-watched evening newscast averaged 8.3 million total viewers for the week of April 11, outperforming ABC by +296,000 (+4%) and CBS by +1.486 million viewers (+22%). The NBC broadcast topped the competition every night last week in all key demos and it is the only evening newscast with season-to-date growth in the A25-54 demo. Week-to-week, Nightly's A25-54 lead over ABC improved by 14% (+209,000 vs. +184,000 the prior week).

Nightly has been #1 in total viewers for 10 consecutive weeks and 40 of the 43 weeks since Holt was named anchor. Among the A25-54 and A18-49 demos, the NBC broadcast has been ranked #1 for 38 consecutive weeks. Season-to-date, Nightly is the #1 evening news program in total viewers, A25-54 and A18-49 viewers.

Nightly averaged 8.3 million total viewers, outperforming ABC by +296,000 (+4%) and CBS by +1.486 million (+22%).
Week-to-week, Nightly's A25-54 lead over ABC improved by 14% (+209,000 vs. +184,000 the prior week).
Nightly averaged 1.931 million A25-54 viewers, outperforming ABC by +209,000 (+12%) and CBS by +392,000 (+26%)
Nightly averaged 1.367 million A18-49 viewers, topping ABC by +138,000 (+11%) and CBS by +302,000 (+28%)
Versus the same week last season, Nightly posted the largest across-the-board gains in total viewers (+7%, +546,000), A25-54 viewers (+8%, +136,000), and A18-49 viewers (+12%, +148,000)
The NBC broadcast is #1 in A25-54 and A18-49 viewers for 38 consecutive weeks.

Nightly averages 2.180 million A25-54 viewers, leading ABC by +201,000 (+10%) and CBS by +451,000 (+26%).
Nightly is the only evening news program with year-over-year growth among A25-54 viewers (+3,000)
Nightly has widened its A25-54 lead vs. ABC by 186,000 viewers versus last season.
Nightly averages 1.575 million A18-49 viewers, outperforming ABC by +201,000 (+15%) and CBS by +398,000 (+34%)
Nightly has improved its A18-49 advantage over ABC by 83% versus last season (vs. a +110,000 lead last season)
