In the key A25-54 demo, the NBC broadcast averaged 2.1 million A25-54 viewers, leading ABC by +244,000 (+13%) and CBS by +483,000 (+30%). Nightly News improved its A25-54 lead over ABC by over 687% from the previous season (+244,000 lead for 2015-16 season vs. +31,000 for 2014-15 season) and added the most A25-54 viewers versus last season (+35,000, +2%). Nightly News more than doubled its A18-49 advantage over ABC versus last season (105%, vs. a +102,000 lead last season), averaging 1.514 million A18-49 viewers, outperforming ABC by +209,000 (+16%) and CBS by +415,000 (+38%). Nightly News won across the board for the third quarter of 2016, averaging 8.182 million total viewers, outperforming ABC by 506,000 (+7%) and CBS by +1.867 million (+30%). Nightly News averaged 2.076 million A25-54 viewers, +420,000 (+25%) more than ABC and +634,000 (+44%) ahead of CBS. Among A25-54 viewers, Nightly News has won 31 of the last 34 quarters. Nightly News was also #1 across the board for the week of September 12, averaging 7.76 million total viewers, leading "ABC World News Tonight" by +61,000 (+1%) and "CBS Evening News" by +1.49 million (+24%).
