NBC NIGHTLY NEWS WITH LESTER HOLT Ranks No. 1 in Key Demo for Week of 10/3

NBC NIGHTLY NEWS WITH LESTER HOLT ranked #1 in the demo for the week of October 3, averaging 2.2 million A25-54 viewers, leading "ABC World News Tonight" by +340,000 (19%) and "CBS Evening News" by 643,000 (+42%). Nightly News posted its best A25-54 delivery since the Rio Olympics (week of August 15, 2016) and its best non-Olympics average in seven months (week of March 21, 2016). The week represented Nightly News's widest non-Olympics demo advantage over ABC in three months (week of June 27, 2016).

Among A18-49, Nightly News averaged 1.6 million viewers for the week, topping ABC by +238,000 (+18%) and CBS by +567,000 (+55%). Nightly News saw its biggest non-Olympics A18-49 delivery since the week of February 8, 2016 and was up +11% (+161,000) year over year. The NBC News broadcast has ranked #1 in A25-54 and A18-49 for 62 of the last 63 weeks.

Nightly News averaged 8.45 million total viewers for the week, leading CBS EVENING NEWS by +1.949 million (+30%). The NBC News broadcast saw the largest growth in total viewers from the prior week (+7%, +548,000). Year over year, Nightly News was up in every demo, growing +2% in total viewers, +8% in A25-54 and +11% in A18-49.
