NBC NIGHTLY NEWS WITH LESTER HOLT ranked #1 across the board for the week of June 13-17, 2016 and delivered the largest year-over-year gains among the three evening newscasts in every key demo. The NBC broadcast averaged 8 million total viewers, its best delivery in five weeks. Among total viewers, NBC led ABC WORLD NEWS Tonight by +98,000 (+1%) and CBS EVENING NEWS by +1.382 million (+21%). Week to week, Nightly delivered the biggest increases in both total viewers (+8%, or +584,000) and A25-54 viewers (+14%, or +243,000) while also improving +10% (+130,000) among A18-49 viewers.
Nightly averaged 2 million A25-54 viewers, outperforming
ABC by +251,000 (+15%) and
CBS by +398,000 (+25%). It was Nightly's biggest A25-54 audience since the week of March 28, 2016 (11 weeks) and widest lead over
ABC since the week of March 21, 2016 (12 weeks).
Among the A18-49 demo, Nightly averaged 1.4 million viewers, topping
ABC by +153,000 (+12%) and
CBS by +310,000 (+29%). Nightly had its biggest A18-49 delivery and advantage over
ABC since the week of April 25, 2016 (7 weeks).
Season to date, Nightly is the #1 evening news program in total viewers, A25-54 and A18-49 viewers. Nightly has ranked #1 in A25-54 and A18-49 for 46 of the past 47 weeks.

This was Nightly's biggest A25-54 audience since the week of March 28, 2016 (11 weeks) and widest lead over
ABC since the week of March 21, 2016 (12 weeks).
Nightly averaged 1.386 million A18-49 viewers, topping
ABC by +153,000 (+12%) and
CBS by +310,000 (+29%).
Among A18-49 viewers, Nightly has won 46 of the last 47 weeks and 54 of the last 58 weeks.
Nightly had its biggest A18-49 delivery and advantage over
ABC since the week of April 25, 2016 (7 weeks).
Week to week, Nightly delivered the biggest increases in both total viewers (+8%, or +584,000) and A25-54 viewers (+14%, or +243,000) while also improving +10% (+130,000) among A18-49 viewers.
Versus the same week last season, Nightly was the only evening newscast to post audience gains in total viewers (+5%, or +383,000), A25-54 viewers (+5%, or +88,000), and A18-49 viewers (+4%, or +47,000).
