NBC NIGHTLY NEWS WITH BRIAN WILLIAMS Remains #1 Evening Newscast

"NBC Nightly News With BrIan Williams" was the most watched network evening newscast for the week of May 3 - May 9, 2010, according to Nielsen Media Research data. During the week, "Nightly" saw 7.435 million total viewers, +432,000 more than ABC "World News,’" 7.003 million and +2.452 million more than CBS "Evening News’" 4.983 million.

Season-to-date, "Nightly" leads "World News" by +1.146 million total viewers and is the only newscast to show growth versus the same period last season.

Last week, "Nightly" also led in the key demo adults 25-54.  "Nightly" delivered a 1.8 rating A25-54, ahead of "World News’" 1.6 and "Evening News’" 1.2. With 2.181 million A25-54 (000) viewers last week, the newscast beat "World News" by +210,000 viewers. Season-to-date, "Nightly" leads "World News" by +476,000 A25-54 viewers. This is the 76th consecutive week "Nightly" has topped "World News" in this key demo.

As the number one network broadcast last week, "Nightly News" delivered a 5.0/11 Household rating, with "World News" in second place with a 4.8/10, and "Evening News" in third with a 3.5/8.

On its digital platforms, "Nightly" continued its strong performance last week with more than 4.8 million online streams for the week ending May 8, 2010.
