NBC NIGHTLY NEWS Draws Biggest Viewer Audience in 7 Weeks

NBC NIGHTLY NEWS WITH BrIan Williams was the most-watched network evening newscast for the week ending February 1, 2012, according to Nielsen Media Research data. The NBC broadcast averaged 9.340 million total viewers, +672,000 more than ABC WORLD NEWS, and +2,350,000 more than CBS EVENING NEWS. This marks NIGHTLY's best total viewer delivery since the week of December 10, 2012.

Nightly delivered 9.340 million total viewers, +8% (+672,000) more than ABC WOLRDN NEWS' 8.668 million and +34% (+2,350,000) more than CBS EVENING NEWS' 6.990 million.
Nightly averaged a 6.3/11 Household rating, ahead of ABC's 5.8/11 and CBS' 4.8/9.
Nightly has won for 177 consecutive weeks in total viewers, and in 224 of the past 225 weeks among total viewers.

Nightly delivered a 2.1 A25-54 rating, +2 tenths ahead of ABC's 1.9 rating and +4 tenths more than CBS's 1.7 rating.

Among A25-54 (000), Nightly averaged 2.552 million viewers, +14% (+310,000) viewers ahead of World News' 2.242 million and +28% (+564,000) ahead of Evening News' 1.988 million.
Nightly has topped World News in A25-54 (000) for 219 consecutive weeks.
Versus the same week last season, Nightly was up +4% among Women 25-54.

Quarter and Season-to-Date Highlights:
Versus the 1Q'13 average, Nightly was up +2% in total viewers and +4% among Women 25-54.
Season-to-date, Nightly leads World News by +773,000 total viewers, and by +351,000 Adult 25-54 viewers.
