NBC has matched its highest weeklong 18-49 rating in 16 weeks, since January 7-13, and delivered its biggest total-viewer result since that same week, finishing the week of April 29-May 5 with a 1.8 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49 and 5.6 million viewers overall

The Monday and Tuesday editions of NBC's "The Voice" ranked #2 and #3 for the week in adults 18-49 among primetime programs on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, and the Monday "Voice" finished the week #1 on those networks in adults 18-34, women 18-34, women 18-49 and teens 12-17.

NBC's 1.8 rating in adults 18-49 pulled it within a tenth of a rating point of the weeklong win (1.9 for CBS and Fox).

Versus the same week last year, NBC was up 13 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.8 from a 1.6) and 9 percent in total viewers (5.7 million vs. 5.1 million), while ABC, CBS and FOX were down in both categories.

For a sixth straight week, both regular editions of "The Voice" topped both telecasts of "American Idol" in both 18-49 and total viewers. Last week's two "Voice" telecasts averaged a 4.3 and 3.9 in 18-49 and 12.7 million and 11.8 million in total viewers, while "Idol" earned a 2.9 and 2.6 in 18-49 and 11.3 million and 11.3 million in total viewers.
