NBC has announced that they have purchased UNDATEABLE, a "bromantic" comedy from Bill Lawrence (SCRUBS, COUGAR TOWN) and screenwriter Adam Sztykiel (DUE DATE, MADE OF HONOR.) The series is based on Ellen Rakieten and Anne Coyle's backwards guidebook, UNDATEABLE: 311 THINGS GUYS DO THAT GUARANTEE THEY WON'T BE DATING OR HAVING SEX.

The script was overseen by Lawrence and Sztykiel and focuses on two pals who share the ineptitude to land, pick up, or attract women.

The book version of UNDATEBALE acts as a backwords guide of sorts - presenting common mistakes men make that cause them to be absolutely undateable.

BroadwayWorld will keep you updated on UNDATEABLE's progress as it heads to pilot, and if the showrunners are lucky, to series.
