The new version will be based on the original 1989 series of the same name, which included "10 one-hour films, with each short exploring one or several moral and ethical issues." It won various prizes at film festivals around the world and received praise from renowned critic Roger Ebert.
THE GOOD WIFE's Todd E. Kessler is writing the script, with ABC Entertainment's Steve McPherson executive producing.
DECALOGUE is not the only 'Ten Commandments' project in the works; WGN America is also creating a 10-episode series in the same vein.
