Deadline reports that NBC has bought a dramedy which will be executive produced by Miranda Lambert. The project will be based on the country singer's childhood. According to the report, Lambert's husband Blake Shelton, a mentor on NBC's 'The Voice,' played an important part in bringing the deal to fruition.
The project, to be penned by Chad Hodge, will follow "a couple who run a highly successful detective agency while also trying to raise two teenagers." Lambert was raised in Lindale, TX where her father, Richard Lee “Rick” Lambert, was a retired police officer who opened up a private detective agency with his wife, Beverly “Bev” June Lambert.
Miranda Lambert began her music career as a finalist on the reality series Nashville Star in 2003. She is now a top-selling country singer.
