NATURE CAT Makes Tracks In 2018 With Toy Line Launch, New Season Debut, Exclusive Museum Program And More

Spiffy Pictures, creators of the popular PBS Kids series NATURE CAT, announces the latest launches, licenses and partnership programs to kick off 2018. Debuting at American International Toy Fair in February 2018, a new toy line from master toy licensee TOMY leads the brand into retail to meet demand for character-based products. In addition, new episodes in Season 2 are debuting through first quarter and a newly-minted agreement for a national children's museum tour will bring NATURE CAT into real life for kids across the US in 2019.

TOMY's NATURE CAT toy line features products including sought-after NATURE CAT Feature Plush and a whimsical role-play line of Headband Plush. The feature plush allows children to recreate the antics of everyone's favorite nature adventuring feline, as they press his belly to hear 13 iconic NATURE CAT phrases from the animated series. The playful plush headbands let kids wear the ears of their favorite NATURE CAT characters for endless role play adventures.

NATURE CAT, a top performing PBS Kids series since its debut in 2015, received the greenlight for Seasons 2 and 3 in 2017. Season 2, which premiered January 1, 2018, features 25 episodes, including one hour-long movie, and Season 3 will debut an additional 15 episodes, including a second hour-long movie when it debuts later this year. The show airs twice daily on PBS Kids (check local listings) and is available on streaming services such as PBSKids.org, Amazon, Youtube and more.

Beginning in early 2019, NATURE CAT fans can meet their favorite adventurous friend at one of 300 children's museums across the country. Through an exclusive partnership between Spiffy Pictures and Kohl's Children's Museum in Chicago, an original NATURE CAT exhibit will be created and toured to bring an immersive, live NATURE CAT experience to fans throughout the US.

NATURE CAT is expanding its digital footprint in 2018 as well with new online games. The first game, Fine Feathered Feast, gives kids the chance to help their favorite cat feed the birds of the wild while introducing new breeds in each level. Two more educational and fun-filled games are set to launch by the end of 2018, all of which can be found and played at PBSKids.org.

Beyond earning strong ratings since its debut, NATURE CAT received a 2016 Daytime Emmy Award Nomination for Outstanding Writing in an Animated Program, a 2017 Daytime Emmy Award Nomination for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program (Kate McKinnon), a Television Critics Association Award Nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Youth Programming and a Common Sense Media Seal for TV, recognizing the series for providing families an exceptional media experience.
