NASCAR On NBC Revs Up For Return To Racing With Comprehensive Consumer Engagement Plan  Image

NBC Sports Group celebrates the launch of the 2018 NASCAR on NBC Season with a robust consumer engagement campaign that highlights motorsports icon and NBC Sports' newest on-air contributor Dale Earnhardt Jr. The "Same Dale. New View" campaign revs up this week across NBCUniversal's television and digital platforms, as NBC Sports counts down to its first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race of 2018, this Sunday, July 1 at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

NBC Sports is surrounding the start of its fourth season of Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series racing with a multi-platform promotional effort highlighting Earnhardt's transition from the track to the broadcast booth. The comprehensive campaign includes television promo spots, outdoor advertising, digital partnerships and social media.

NBCUNIVERSAL SURROUNDS LAUNCH OF 2018 NASCAR ON NBC SEASON

As part of NBC Sports Group's marketing and publicity efforts for the launch of the 2018 NASCAR on NBC season, NBC Sports collaborated with many of the signature properties of NBCUniversal on a series of news and entertainment segments.

Earlier this morning, Dale Earnhardt Jr. joined MEGYN KELLY TODAY to discuss his retirement and new roles as a husband, father and NBC Sports broadcaster. Earnhardt also talked racing with Dan Patrick and the Danettes at the Dan Patrick Show. Later today he will discuss being a new dad with E! News, and also appear tonight as a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

On Friday, Austin Dillon, driver of the No. 3 Richard Childress Racing Chevy, will appear in NBC Sports Chicago's pregame show for the Chicago Cubs' game against the Minnesota Twins. Dillon will also serenade attendees singing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame." In addition, NBC Sports' Toyota on-track car will be parked outside of Wrigley Field for attendees to enjoy and take pictures.

REGIONAL AND LOCAL COLLABORATION

Throughout the week, NBC Sports Chicago and the NBC affiliate WMAQ will provide coverage of CHICAGOLAND through their suite of media entities. Austin Dillon will make an appearance on the CubsTalk pregame show and record his podcast at the game. NBC Sports Chicago will also air NASCAR snipes and ticker promotion throughout its programming this week, as well as a pit crew segment with Kelly Crull on Friday. WMAQ will be promoting much of the NBC Sports Chicago content and will have an in-person interview with Dale Earnhardt Jr. on Friday.

NASCAR ON NBC PROMO PLANES WITH AERIAL ADVERTISING

NBC Sports takes to the skies this week, with aerial advertising banners for the 2018 NASCAR season, flying high above Chicago's Lake Michigan beaches. The promotion, which will run on race day, will allow beachgoers who are away from their televisions to "Text "NBC to 66866" to live stream NBC Sports' NASCAR coverage.

DALE EARNHARDT GAMEDAY NASCAR RACE WEEKEND SPOTIFY PLAYLIST

Dale Earnhardt Jr. offers listeners a sneak peek into his music queue, as he takes over Spotify's Gameday playlist. The "NASCAR Race Weekend" playlist offers listeners a combination of Earnhardt's eclectic music tastes, ranging fromThe Dangerous Summer and David Bowie to Third Eye Blind. Intended to get NASCAR fans ready to go racing, the playlist will be featured as Spotify's Game Day playlist now through July 8.

BEHIND THE SCENES AND AROUND THE CLOCK ACCESS SURROUNDING CHICAGOLAND

NBC Sports will provide around the clock social media coverage from CHICAGOLAND Speedway this weekend. Featuring on-site photos, gifs, and highlights, the @NASCARonNBC handles on Twitter, Facebook and Instagramwill provide a behind the scenes look at NBC Sports' first NASCAR races of the 2018 season.
