The documentary film chronicles Sam Spiegel and DJ Zegon's worldwide travels and collaborations that led to 2009's groundbreaking LP on the same name. The Spirit of Apollo was shot between 2004 - 2011 in locations spanning the globe (Brazil, Jamaica, Sweden, the U.S. and more) and features music and appearances by David Byrne, Kanye West, Karen O, Tom Waits, Method Man, M.I.A., Ol' Dirty Bastard, John Frusciante, Santigold, RZA, George Clinton, Nick Zinner, Ghostface Killah, Lykke Li, Gift of Gab, Kool Keith, Chuck D, DJ AM, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, Spank Rock, The Cool Kids, Amanda Blank, and many more.
