The Mylan World TeamTennis (WTT) season continues on ESPN3 on Tuesday, July 18, at 7 p.m. ET, concluding with the finals live on ESPN2 on Saturday, Aug. 5. The 42nd season kicked off Sunday, July 16, with the New York EMPIRE defeating the Philadelphia Freedoms 20-18.

New this year, ESPN teamed up with Mylan WTT to introduce Quantum5X (Q5X) QT-5100 PlayerMics, on-player wireless microphones that capture on-court action. For the first time in professional tennis competition, players will wear wireless microphone transmitters, bringing unprecedented audio sounds and effects to the league's live broadcasts.

Highlights include:

  • On July 18, former World No. 1, Hall of Famer and two-time WTT Female MVP Martina Hingis takes the court with the Washington Kastles as the team celebrates their 10th anniversary season and bid for a record seventh WTT championship against the New York EMPIRE and former World No. 7 Mardy Fish.
  • On July 20, top-ranked doubles team Bob and Mike Bryan play for the Kastles against the defending champions San Diego Aviators with American Ryan Harrison.
  • On July 21, the Aviators and Harrison take the court against the Springfield Lasers with top-ranked American Jack Sock, playing his inaugural season with Mylan WTT.
  • On July 24, American superstar Venus Williams will join the action with the Kastles against American Sloane Stephens making her Philadelphia Freedoms debut in her second WTT season.
  • On July 25, the EMPIRE and Fish will take on the Philadelphia Freedoms and Americans Stephens and Hall of Famer Andy Roddick - returning for his 10th WTT Season.
  • On July 27, Eugenie Bouchard joins the EMPIRE against last year's runner-up Orange County Breakers.

The Mylan WTT Finals air Saturday, Aug. 5 at 11 p.m. with ESPN2 joining the coverage at 12 a.m. as the best in professional team tennis battle for the King Trophy, named after the league co-founder Billie Jean King.
