The haunting and provocative new vampire thriller 'Let Me In' will be shown at an exclusive New York preview screening followed by a discussion with director Matt Reeves and actress Chloë Grace Moretz. Presented by Museum of the Moving Image, the program will take place on Thursday, September 30, 7:00 p.m. at SVA Theater, 333 West 23 Street, Manhattan. The discussion with Reeves and Moritz will be moderated by Chief Curator David Schwartz.

"Let Me In is one of the year's best genre movies," said Schwartz, "an accomplished and absorbing movie with a terrific ensemble cast, great psychological depth, and a strong sense of visual style."

Let Me In is about a mysterious 12-year-old girl (Moretz, Kick-Ass) who moves next door to Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee, The Road), a social outcast who is viciously bullied at school. After a series of murders grips his wintry New Mexico town, Owen has to confront the reality that this seemingly innocent girl is a savage vampire. The film's stellar cast also includes Academy Award nominee Richard Jenkins (The Visitor, Eat Pray Love) and Elias Koteas (Benjamin Britton, Crash), and the brilliant musical score was composed by Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost). The film is based on the Swedish novel Let the Right One In and the acclaimed 2008 film of the same name. About Let Me In, The Hollywood Reporter said that "this unsettling, effective American remake really gets under the skin as one of the year's most powerful thrillers," and the New York Post's Lou Lumenick called it "the scariest, most elegantly filmed vampire movie I've seen in years."

Let Me In (2010, 115 mins.) was produced by the legendary British horror brand Hammer Films, and is being released in the U.S. on October 1 by Overture Films.

Director Matt Reeves, who also wrote the screenplay, previously directed the monster movie Cloverfield. He is also co-creator of the TV series Felicity with friend and collaborator J.J. Abrams. Chloë Grace Moretz is best known as the ferocious Hit Girl in Kick-Ass, and also starred in Diary of a Wimpy Kid. She is currently filming Martin Scorsese's The Invention of Hugo Cabret.

Tickets for the special preview screening of Let Me In and discussion with Matt Reeves and Chloë Grace Moretz are $18 public/$12 for Museum members (Free for Sponsor-level and above). Advance tickets may be purchased online at www.movingimage.us or by calling 718.777.6800.
