The Sue Wong "Spring Transcendent" 2013 Collection makes its world debut on Friday September 21, 2012 at 6:30pm at LA Live's The Conga Room, 800 West Olympic Boulevard, Los Angeles CA. This much-anticipated event will be filmed in 3D as the highlight of Othila Media's documentary "Fashion and Culture in Los Angeles"(director/producer Catherine Bauknight, associate producer Leann Vasquez), which chronicles the city's pivotal creative contributions to fashion, art and music.

The show will kick off with a sponsored cocktail hour from 4 to 6pm sponsored by The Conga Room, 3opolis, the Dream Factory as well as Grey Goose, Corona, Bacardi and Red Bull. Red carpet arrivals will take place from 5:30 to 6:30pm and 500 leading fashionistas, celebrities and socialites are expected to attend the showing of Sue Wong's very latest collection that celebrates modern lifestyles through the lens of nature's seasonal metamorphosis.

According to Sue, the collection represents Transcendental themes explored primarily by those of essayists and poets Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau who contemplated the divinity of nature and humanity. Like petals unfurling from their buds in an eventual cascade of the season's most awe-inspiring pieces, Sue rolls out a plethora of must-own wearables. The dresses are draped precisely to smooth around the contours of the body, cut from above-the-knee and asymmetric hems to floor length gowns for red-carpet worthy events and memorable occasions such as weddings and formal gatherings. The colors transition gradually from winter's frosty embrace of platinum shades to the warming tinges of beige, bubbling champagne and intimations of blush before blossoming into sunlit pastels and the breathtaking gleam of sapphires and emeralds.

Designer Sue Wong points out, "When Mr. Thoreau recounted his experience of living on Walden Pond, he wrote, 'the true harvest of my daily life is somewhat intangible and indescribable as tints of morning or evening. It is a little star dust caught, a segment of the rainbow which I have clutched.' In this collection, I tried to capture that fleeting beauty that exists in the very fibers of both fashion and nature." She added, "Introducing it at the 3DFF is a wonderful opportunity to engage fashion in an exciting new way while celebrating the kind of Hollywood glamour that has always been so integral to my designs."

3DFF, the world's largest all-digital 3D Film, Music, and Interactive Festival, celebrates its fifth anniversary at its new location inside Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE Stadium 14, with additional activities taking place at the JW Marriott Los Angeles, L.A.
