"NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams" was the most-watched network evening newscast for the week ending May 29, 2013, according to Nielsen Media Research data. The NBC broadcast averaged 8.044 million total viewers, +692,000 more than ABC "World News," and +2,036,000 more than CBS "Evening News."

On Monday, just hours after a tornado ripped through Moore, Oklahoma, Nightly averaged over 9.2 million total viewers -- over 1.1 million more than ABC and over 2.1 million more than CBS. On Tuesday, as Brian Williams anchored live from Moore, Nightly drew 9.1 million viewers -- over 1.2 million more than ABC and over 3 million more than CBS.

NOTE: Brian Williams was off on Thursday and Friday.

"NBC Nightly News" Weekly Highlights:

Nightly delivered 8.044 million total viewers, +9% (+692,000) more than ABC World News' 7.352 million and +34% (+2,036,000) more than CBS Evening News' 6.008 million.
Nightly averaged a 5.4/11 Household rating, ahead of ABC's 5.0/11 and CBS' 4.1/8.
Nightly has won for 193 consecutive weeks in total viewers, and in 240 of the past 241 weeks among total viewers.
Nightly delivered a 1.8 A25-54 rating, +2 tenths ahead of ABC's 1.6 rating and +4 tenths more than CBS's 1.4 rating.
Among A25-54 (000), Nightly averaged 2.157 million viewers, +11% (+217,000) viewers ahead of World News' 1.940 million and +35% (+554,000) ahead of Evening News' 1.603 million.
Nightly has topped World News in A25-54 (000) for 235 consecutive weeks.

Season-to-Date Highlights:
Season-to-date, Nightly leads World News by +786,000 total viewers, and by +316,000 Adult 25-54 viewers (+3 tenths).
