Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) claimed his fourth career Drivers' Championship with a ninth-place finish at the Mexican Grand Prix two weekends ago, tying Sebastian Vettel and Alain Prost for the third-most titles ever in Formula One history. Hamilton has earned nine first-place finishes in 18 races this season, including 12 podium finishes.

Hamilton enters the weekend having already clinched the 2017 Drivers' Championship at the Mexican Grand Prix last Sunday. The Mercedes driver is now the most accomplished British driver in Formula One history, and trails only Argentina's Juan Manuel Fangio (five) and Germany's Michael Schumacher (seven) for most the Drivers' Championships ever.
Vettel has won the Brazilian Grand Prix twice, most recently in 2013, while Hamilton won the event last year.
